It seems the city has a never-ending appetite for ramen joints, so noodle-lovers will be happy to know that Jinya Ramen Bar is gearing up to open the doors to its new Telus Garden location (541 Robson Street) next week (April 21).

Relocating a few blocks away from its previous digs (270 Robson Street), this new space features a contemporary and warm atmosphere—think brick walls, greenery hanging from the ceiling, wooden seats and tables, and a full bar.

The 2,961-square-foot eatery will seat up to 80 guests, including 28 on the patio. You can bet that white-collared workers will scramble to this spacious establishment during lunch hours, especially for its outdoor seating when patio season rolls along—Vancouverites love the combination of food and fresh air.

Its menu features signature ramen creations such as Jinya tonkotsu black (pork broth, pork chashu, thin noodles); spicy chicken ramen (chicken broth, chicken chashu, spicy bean sprouts, thin noodles); and Cha Cha Cha for garlic lovers (pork broth, pork chashu, thick noodles).

The ramen joint will cater to meat-lovers, vegetarians, and vegans.

Jinya also caters to vegetarians and vegans, serving up a vegetable soup ramen (vegetable broth, mushroom, cauliflower, thin noodles) and a spicy-creamy-vegan ramen (vegetable broth; tofu; garlic oil; thick noodles)—the latter smells heavenly and can satisfy those who normally wouldn’t try anything without meat.

Besides ramen, the restaurant’s other offerings include tapas such as crispy chicken, pork gyoza, takoyaki (octopus balls), pork and chicken bowls, and Brussels sprout tempura.

Drink options range from draft beer to handcrafted cocktails, Japanese sake and whisky to local craft beers. Non-alcoholic beverages include fruit-flavoured sodas, soft drinks, and more.

Jinya will also be opening a third Metro Vancouver location at Metropolis at Metrotown, which is scheduled to launch early summer.
