The Chefs' Table Society of B.C. and the Yaletown Business Improvement Association have teamed up again this year to bring a tasty event to the trendy neighbourhood next month.
The non-profit society (made up of local chefs and culinary professional dedicated to using local and sustainable ingredients) will be hosting the second annual Chef Meets Truck on September 12 (6 to 9 p.m.) in the intersection of Hamilton and Nelson Street.
Event-goers will find notable Vancouver restaurant chefs joining local food truck chefs to create delicious bites.
Participating restaurants and chefs include Ned Bell (Ocean Wise), Peter Fong (Ganache Patisserie), Derek Gray (Savio Volpe), Ken Nakano (Shangri-La Hotel), and Makato Ono (Mak N Ming), among others.
Food trucks that will be hosting the chefs include Kafka’s Coffee, Mom’s Grilled Cheese, the Reef Runner, Roaming Dragon, Via Tevere, White Spot, and more.
Tickets ($69 per person, plus taxes and fees) include food samples from the participating food trucks, as well as wine and beer samples from Cedar Creek Estate Winery and Parallel 49 Brewery.
Guests must be 19 years or older to attend this event. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
