Harvest Haus returns to Vancouver with new location and largest event capacity yet

It’s time to polish up the ol’ stein and lay out the lederhosen: Harvest Haus, Vancouver’s answer to Munich’s raucous Oktoberfest, is back from October 5 to 14—this time at a brand new, enlarged location.

Now taking place at Sole Food Street Farms, adjacent to BC Place, the nine-day fete features seven dinner sittings and a jam-packed lineup of events that includes an opening-night axe-throwing contest, the Stein Games beer-sports competition, and the Lippensynchron—that’s lipsynch—Battle. Back for the fourth time this fall, it's put on by the same team behind local events like Dîner en Blanc and the Deighton Cup.

This year’s mini-Munich setup will be 50 percent larger than previous iterations, holding a maximum 1,500 people per sitting. Under the festzelte, guests will once again find warm pretzels, bratwurst, and of course, plenty of beer from various B.C. breweries. An expanded marketplaz will offer attendees a chance to browse dozens of food and arts and crafts vendors.

Tickets start at $25 and may now be reserved online. For more information about Harvest Haus, click here.
