What happens when an award-winning meat shop opens a restaurant? You get the best of both worlds.

Local ethical and sustainable meat supplier Two Rivers Specialty Meats will soon be opening the doors to its new butcher shop and eatery in the North Shore (180 Donaghy Avenue, North Vancouver).

Appropriately named “The Shop”, the 2,500-square-foot space will feature a traditional working butchery, glass-walled dry-age room, European-style deli, take-away counter, a 32-seat dining room, and a 16-seat patio.

Customers will be able to get their hands on home-made sausages, dry-aged beef, and hand-tooled cuts from head butcher Pasqual Stufano and his team.

Products from other like-minded farms, including Cache Creek Natural Beef, Peace Country Lamb, Cheam View Pork, and Farm Crest Chickens, will be available.

Chef Tony Starratt and his team will be sharing the industrial space to create some family-style dishes such as rotisserie chicken, daily charcuterie and butcher features, a house-made chicken or beef bone broth, and hand-cut fries cooked in beef tallow.

Don’t worry about being thirsty—guests will be able to pair their meals with a rotating selection of local B.C. beer and wine.

Two Rivers Meats—the Shop will be open beginning October 13 from Monday to Saturday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.).
