Those who love a good burger will be happy to know that a week-long burger event will be arriving in town later this week.

Le Burger Week (September 1 to 7) began in Montreal, Quebec in 2012, and will be taking place across six provinces in over 11 cities.

More than 400 restaurants will join this annual burger festival in several major Canadian cities this year, including Quebec City, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

11 restaurants in Vancouver will be participating in this burger festival: Mamie Taylor’s, ShuRaku Sake Bar + Bistro, Bellaggio, The Pie Hole, East Side Craft House, Charqui, Relish Gourmet Burgers, Vera’s on the Drive, the Canadian Brewhouse, and Fable Diner all will be offering gourmet burgers.

Each eatery will be creating a unique burger that reflects their culinary concept, which will be offered at a special price.

Some of the burger creations have already been made public, such as ShuRaku Sake Bar + Bistro’s “ShuRaku Rice Burger” (sautéed sliced rib-eye with house-made BBQ sauce, jalapeno, chili miso sauce), and Fable Diner’s “Fable Diner Burger” (6 ounce grass-fed local beef, foie gras, sunny-side egg, diced onion).

If you’re already salivating at the description of the burger creations, be sure to mark this food event in your calendars.
