Have you ever heard of eating for a good cause?

This year’s Restaurants for Change—an annual dinner fundraising event that brings together Canada’s best restaurants to raise money for community food programs—returns on October 18.

Over 90 dining establishments in 19 cities across the country will be participating in this gourmet event, including three from Vancouver: Burdock & Co., Farmer’s Apprentice, and Jamjar on Commercial Drive.

Each restaurant will donate 50 to 100 percent of total food sales from this dinner service to support food programs in low-income neighbourhoods, which will provide access to healthy foods and build healthier lifestyles.

Restaurants for Change has raised almost $600,000 for food-related programs and charities since 2014.
