Yaletown’s Homer Street Cafe and Bar (898 Homer Street) had to close down a large section of its dining area and kitchen due to a severe flooding from a neighbouring building back in September.

But the restaurant has since re-opened with a pop-up dining service in its upper bar and lounge area, offering dinner (from 5 p.m.) and all-day happy hour drinks (wine, beer, cocktails) and snacks.

The eatery has also announced it will be expanding its pop-up menu, adding a weekday lunch service (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) that will feature a daily rotating fresh sheet and sandwich specials.

A weekend brunch service will also be returning, and will include a limited daily fresh sheet and select specials on Saturday and Sunday (beginning at 10:30 a.m.).

Homer Street Cafe's main dining area and kitchen on its lower level were severely damaged, as well as other sections of the sprawling eatery.

The dining establishment will be updating patrons on its reconstruction through its social media pages, but it is unclear when a full re-opening date will be announced.

No reservations are currently being taken due to limited seating.
