Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list has landed for 2025, and once again B.C. has served up an impressive showing. Nineteen restaurants from the province made the cut, with Vancouver claiming the lion’s share. From fine dining staples to buzzy newcomers, this year’s rankings confirm what locals already know: the West Coast has serious flavour.

Leading the pack for B.C. is Published on Main at #9, holding strong as a Mount Pleasant mainstay with a reputation for thoughtful, precise cooking. Just behind it is AnnaLena at #10, a Kitsilano favourite making its first top 10 appearance. Other familiar names holding court include St. Lawrence (#12), Kissa Tanto (#18), and Le Crocodile by Rob Feenie (#28), proving consistency can still feel fresh.

Beyond the Vancouver bubble, B.C.’s culinary reach continues. Wild Blue in Whistler (#33), Pluvio in Ucluelet (#36), Marilena in Victoria (#39), and Baan Lao (#26) and The Fish Man (#89) all landed spots, reminding us that destination dining is alive and well. Baan Lao also earned additional bragging rights after being named Best Destination Restaurant for the 2025.

Vancouver, of course, still dominates the list with a strong supporting cast: Botanist (#32), L’Abattoir (#37), Boulevard (#55), Bacchus (#60), Hawksworth (#66), Burdock & Co. (#82), Elisa (#87), Maenam (#94), and Elem (#99) all earned their stripes.

Speaking of Elem, it also made waves on the 2025 Best New Restaurants list, debuting at #10. At the helm is chef Vish Mayekar, who was named our Breakout Chef earlier this year for good reason. With his sharply honed vision, minimalist plating, and unapologetically modern flavours, Mayekar has quickly carved out a place among the city's most exciting culinary voices. Elem is the only B.C. restaurant to crack the top 10 in this category, making it one to watch as the city’s dining scene evolves.

Old favourites, rising stars, and a healthy appetite for innovation—Vancouver is proving yet again that it's one of the country's most exciting places to eat.
