After a day of sweater shopping, apple picking, and leaf raking, it’s tempting to curl up next to your pumpkin spice candle and call it a day. Thankfully, the team at UVA Wine & Cocktail Bar has concocted the perfect reason to get out of the house on a chilly night: a mouthwatering new cocktail menu—and yes, it’s inspired by our favourite season. 

Led by UVA’s new bar manager Stephen Sherry, the fall menu showcases eight original and eight classic cocktails, all handcrafted with UVA’s unique, award-winning touch. 

One of the standouts is a drink we don’t know if we could ever go without, the Watermelon Sugar High. This fan favourite blends Botanical Grapefruit & Rose Ketel One, Maraschino Luxardo, lime and grapefruit juice, egg white, watermelon, and rose reduction.

Another highlight is a cocktail with a name that speaks for itself, Forgotten Nights. It’s made with St.Remy VSOP brandy, Ardbeg 10 Year Old, drunken cherry juice, lime and orange juice, a Demerara sugar cube, and Angostura bitters. 

The new fall menu also features a fresh variation of the popular Espresso Martini Flight (think cherry, vanilla, and chocolate) and $20 wine flights:

If cocktails aren’t your thing or if you had too many Forgotten Nights the evening before, UVA has another option. From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., it transforms into an authentic Italian-inspired café bar, serving well-crafted espresso drinks, freshly pressed juice, baked goods, and artisan paninis. 

Located at 900 Seymour Street, UVA Wine & Cocktail Bar is in the heart of Downtown Vancouver’s cultural and entertainment district.
