Café Deux Soleils has been around for as long as one can remember.

However, this iconic East Vancouver diner on Commercial Drive may finally go as well.

The business of Café Deux Soleils has been listed for $299,000.

On its website, the establishment says that it has been “welcoming Vancouver through our doors for over 25 years”.

It prides itself as a “home for healthy comfort food, morning, noon and night”.

Café Deux Soleils has been a strong supporter of the arts, hosting various events through the years.

Online, the establishment also pays loving tribute to the hip neighbourhood.

“Frequently described as Vancouver's Greenwich Village, or as creative and bohemian as Paris' Rive Gauche, Commercial Drive has experienced a resurgence of interest in restoring its heritage commercial and residential buildings,” Café Deux Soleils states.

It notes that many businesses on the strip are “single location, owner-operated, making our product mix, dining experiences, produce, entertainment and services completely unique”.

“This neighbourhood repeatedly receives the Georgia Straight Reader's Choice award as the best neighbourhood in the City,” the restaurant notes.

The $299,000 listing for Café Deux Soleils explains that the location measures 2,285 square feet and accommodate 98 seats.

The sale comes with a liquor licence.

The spot pays $8,400 per month in rent.

If Café Deux Soleils sells, then that may be it for this staple in the neighbourhood.

As the listing by realtor Jean Seguin’s Restaurant Business Broker agency states: “Take advantage of one of the bigger footprints on Commercial [D]rive and bring your next great concept.”
