A trip to Burnaby’s Brentwood area just got better. Arcade games, a VIP theatre, and now, artisan hand-roll bar, Hello Nori, will be opening up there this weekend.

Celebrating its grand opening on February 10, the restaurant is known for its unpretentious, made-to-order hand rolls. Simple rolls wrapped in seasoned sushi rice and seaweed are on offer here—with singular ingredients like toro, avocado, and Hokkaido scallop.

The restaurant is now one of three locations in the Lower Mainland, with one getting lots of foot traffic already downtown (1165 Robson), and another opening soon in Park Royal.

You won’t want to miss the experience of watching chefs hand-roll your creations from the U-shaped bar—based on the Japanese philosophy of wabi sabi—while you snack on single orders, or indulge in set-price combinations of four, five, and six rolls.
