February appears to be shaping up to be quite the month for foodsters, with events like Dine Out Festival Vancouver and the inaugural National Seafood Chowder Chowdown, and food-related festivities for Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day.
In addition to all of those, Quebec’s gift to Canadian cuisine (and late-night snackers) will be celebrated in the first week of February.
The delivery edition of La Poutine Week will be held across Canada from February 1 to 7, and over 700 eateries in eight provinces will participate in this year’s festival.
Due to the pandemic, La Poutine Week is partnering with Skip The Dishes to provide weeklong delivery.
In B.C., participating restaurants are located in Kelowna, Kamloops, Victoria, and Vancouver.
Among the participating establishments in Vancouver are (with more to be announced):
Bawk Bawk Chicken and Poutines
Bells and Whistles
Donair Dude (Lonsdale)
Dublin Calling Vancouver
Moti Raja Holi Masala
OEB Breakfast Co.
Patina Brewing Co. Brewing and BBQ
Storm Crow Alehouse
Tap and Barrel (Vancouver)
Wok Box (Vancouver)
With everything from Storm Crow Alehouse’s Bibimbap-ity-boo Brisket Poutine and Moti Raja Holi Masala’s Butter Chicken Poutine to Dublin Calling’s Dublin Poutine, intercultural influences are evident in the available selections.
Full details are available at the website for La Poutine Week.
