Last summer, the Straight reported that a celebrated diner in Vancouver’s West End has been listed for sale.

The establishment formerly known as Hamburger Mary’s Diner has been a fixture in the LGBT-friendly neighbourhood since 1979.

The Straight’s Craig Takeuchi wrote about the restaurant following its reopening on July 26, 2018 as Mary’s on Davie.

“Now in its 39th year, this is one storied Mary,” Takeuchi wrote.

Takeuchi recalled that the place was “one of the last late-night holdovers from the era of Doll and Penny's and Fresgo Inn”.

About two years after its relaunch, Mary’s on Davie was placed on the market for $349,000, the Straight reported on July 2, 2020.

The diner continues to wait for a new owner to take over.

On November 18, realty agency Restaurant Business Broker announced that Mary’s on Davie is still available.

The notice states that the establishment has a liquor license, measures 1,808 square feet, and seats 60 clients inside and 40 outside.

The price remains unchanged at $349,000.
