With so much of its revenue coming from tourists, Granville Island is feeling the effects of COVID-19 acutely. A new delivery platform aims to bolster the iconic public market and keep its vendors busy.

It’s called Granville Island Delivery Co. Founded by Vancouver Foodie Tours’ founder Michelle Ng, it’s a one-stop shop.

You can find all your GI favourites: the Lemon Square, Lee’s Donuts’ Oyama Sausage Co., ChocolaTas, Kaylin & Hobbs (the best pickles), the Lobster Man, a Bread Affair, the Nut Merchant, the Stock Market, and more.

Ng has also assembled gift boxes, such as Wellness in a Box (with products from Cascadia, Granville Island Tea Company, and other artisans), Charcuterie and Cheese, Yes Please! (featuring items from the Benton Brothers Fine Cheese, the Preservatory, and more), and a monthly Market Box. Five dollars from the sale of every box support merchants in need.

You can also pick up face masks by MAKE. They come in a range of cool styles like Botanical Pineapples, Marilyn Monroe, Mona Lisa, and Van Pride.

GIDC has also launched the #GranvilleIslandLuv campaign to support the local suppliers, producers, growers, bakers, and makers.

Shipping is free for orders $99 and over in Vancouver; there’s a $10 discount on flat-rate shipping in grater Vancouver via Novex.

      See GranvilleIslandDelivery.co for more details.

Meanwhile, if you prefer to shop in person, note that Granville Island is open; contact individual retailers for hours. And get this: day parking is free.
