Brazilian superfood chain Oakberry is opening the doors to its newest flagship shop on Saturday (February 10) in the West End.
The healthy answer to fast food, Oakberry’s signature menu includes items like antioxidant-rich smoothies and superfood bowls, along with cold-pressed juices, protein bars, and vitamin-rich wellness shots. Of course, the main draw of Oakberry is its authentic Brazilian acai, which is additive-free and sourced directly from South America. Bowls and smoothies can be topped with fresh fruit—bananas, strawberries, and blueberries—or other goodies such as granola, chia pudding, cacao nibs, and Milk Ninho (an instant-dry whole milk popular in Brazil).
The new Vancouver spot won’t be the first of its kind—there are already three other Oakberry locations in the city, including Gastown—but it’ll certainly be the largest. The Davie Street store is an expansive 800 square-feet decorated in Oakberry’s signature aesthetic—think: rich (acai-like, even) purples and warm wood tones.
Oakberry started in 2016, and now operates more than 600 stores across 30 countries—with five of them in Western Canada.
If you’re keen to try a taste of Brazil, show up before 11am on February 10 to the new Davie Street location. The first 50 people at the shop will snag a free signature acai bowl.
Address: 1778 Davie Street, Vancouver
Hours: 8am to 11pm daily (starting February 11)
