A Port Coquitlam craft brewery co-owned by a former high-profile politician is stepping up to help those facing tough economic times.
B.C. Patina Brewing Company (2332 Marpole Avenue) has teamed up with Share Family & Community Services Society Food Bank on a fundraiser.
The brewery, which is owned by former Metro Vancouver chair Greg Moore and his wife Erin, is turning over 15 percent of the sales of its products today (April 9).
In addition, the Moores will match the donations personally, bringing the total up to 30 percent of all sales.
“As we have seen communities across the country come together to support our health care workers, in addition to this wonderful support, we want to ensure that everyone can put food on their table," Erin Moore says on the brewery's website.
We'll certainly drink to that!
