Someone pop the bubbly! Yaletown’s Provence Marinaside—a beloved seafood-forward French restaurant—is about to celebrate its Champagne birthday by marking down all bottles of Champagne by 50 per cent.
The waterfront spot turns 22 on February 22, and will mark the milestone by giving back to its clientele who come by for a bite that day.
The restaurant’s Champagne collection has 22 different varieties, ranging from the Palmer & Co. Solera Brut Rosé at $135 to Lanson Gold Label Brut at a whopping $1,750. Every bottle will be 50 per cent off on the 22.
“Champagne is part of my French heritage,” says Provence Marinaside owner and executive chef Jean-Francis Quaglia in a release. “It epitomizes celebration around the world, so it is appropriate to celebrate this special birthday by featuring it.”
Of course, to get in on the deal, you must be prepared to imbibe in an entire bottle—so bring a friend or two. (And, may we suggest, order some food to go with it.)
"Everything is better with bubbles. Life feels a little brighter and more elegant when you’re sipping Champagne,” Joshua Carlson, the restaurant’s wine director, says in a statement. “It’s also very food-friendly and goes with everything from oysters to popcorn. Champagne can turn an ordinary day into a memorable one.”
We certainly have to agree.
