St. Patrick's Day: Fable Diner shares recipes for Irish floats and Lucky Charm shots

For St. Patrick’s Day on Wednesday (March 17), B.C. provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced some provincial health order amendments for liquor service, similar to those announced for New Year's Eve. However, that doesn’t mean that celebrations need to come to a halt altogether.

Several establishments are offering Irish-themed food and drink specials, and among them is Fable Diner (151 East Broadway).

On the special day of the Emerald Isle, the East Vancouver diner will be serving a special dish: corned beef benny, with a potato croquette, sauteed cabbage, corned beef,  and olive oil hollandaise, served with breakfast potatoes ($17).

In addition, they’ll be offering drinks specials, starting on March 17 and continuing until the end of the month (so there'll be plenty of opportunities to try them out): Irish floats ($9) Lucky Charm shots ($6), and mint mojito mimosas ($8).

For those who would prefer to make these drinks on their own at home, Fable Diner is generously sharing its recipes for enjoying these lucky Irish beverages.
