I was sat on the steps in the sun taking in the view and a coffee waiting for a friend who was donating blood. You strode out of the clinic to a bench; our eyes met, I smiled and looked away. You had a snack, there were a few more glances in each other’s direction, I walked past to throw something away and wished for something to start a conversation over.
