Australian psych rockers Ocean Alley announce Vancouver show

If you’ve been on TikTok recently, you might have heard Ocean Alley’s funky 2018 hit “Confidence” bouncing around your For You Page, leading to the song topping Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart earlier this year.

Alternatively, if you’re a fan of wavy alt rock, you probably know the band anyway for their accessible yet psychedelic jams that span four albums over the last seven years. (And if you’re a fellow aging emo, yes, this is different from Yellowcard’s “Ocean Avenue.”)

Now, the Australian rockers have announced they’re coming back to this side of the Pacific, embarking on a month-long North American tour next summer.

The expedition kicks off in San Francisco on June 6, 2024, and hits up Toronto and Montreal alongside a slew of American cities before wrapping up with a show at Vancouver’s very own Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on July 6.

That’s a big venue upgrade, after Ocean Alley last headlined the Commodore Ballroom in June 2022 ahead of their fourth album, Low Altitude Living, which dropped that fall.

Tickets for the Doug Mitchell show go on artist presale tomorrow (December 5), with Spotify presale on December 6 and general sale on December 8, here
