Video: Vancouver Polar Bear Swim draws thousands to English Bay
1 of 1 2 of 1
Another New Year's Day was marked by the annual frigid dip into the waters off Vancouver's West End.
Today, the temperature was 7 °C in English Bay and somewhat colder on the beach as thousands came to either swim or merely watch the insanity unfold before their eyes.
It was the 98th straight year that Vancouverites have been jumping into the water on January 1.
The event is put on by the Vancouver park board.
