American fast-fashion retailer, Forever 21, will be closing down its Robson Street location in mid-January.

The two-level, 29,000-square-foot space opened back in 2012 in the downtown Vancouver shopping district.

Don’t expect the lot to stay empty—the prime location has already been leased.

“We’re very excited about the new tenant, and I think they will be a great addition to the downtown community as a whole,” Teri Smith, executive director of the Robson Street Business Association, told the Straight in a phone interview.

There’s no word yet on who the incoming tenant may be, but an announcement is expected in the coming months.

Forever 21 operates other locations in Metro Vancouver, including Park Royal in West Vancouver, Richmond Centre, and Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby.
