WestJet safely evacuates passengers on Toronto runway after plane clipped by Sunwing aircraft

      Passengers on a WestJet Boeing 737-800 had a scare today when they had to be evacuated from their plane at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport.

      All 168 passengers and six crew escaped safely after the aircraft was clipped by a Sunwing plane being towed back from the gate.

      The collision sparked a fire on part of the Sunwing plane, which had no passengers or crew onboard.

      The Transportation Safety Board is conducting an investigation.
