While some may be ringing in Lunar New Year (February 16) with a selection of auspicious dishes and tasty sweets, Nordstrom is toasting to the Year of the Dog with a pop-up shop celebrating man (and woman’s) best friend.
Taking place until March 25 at Nordstrom Pacific Centre (799 Robson Street), the temporary boutique carries an assortment of dog-themed apparel, accessories, treats, and toys for, in their words, “dogs and the humans who love them”. Expect everything from the fashionable (pup-sized hoodies, backpacks, and colour-block leashes) to the practical (collapsible dog bowls, small-batch shampoos and conditioners, and GPS collars) to the adorably out-there (unicorn snoods, robot-shaped poop-bag holders, and dog-and-human friendship bracelets!). Prices start at $11 for pet goods and $7 for human ones.
And don’t fret, cat lovers: Nordstrom’s throwing you a bone (sorry) with some “Cat Mom” pins, cat-covered pencil cases, and paper toys. Those with thumbs will also find limited-edition baseball caps, notebooks, and other products decorated with Peanuts’ Snoopy to love. Featured brands include LoveThyBeast, Haute Diggity Dog, and Vancouver’s own Five15.
