Make It! Vancouver, the cool aunt of the city’s family of seasonal markets, returns to the PNE Forum (2901 East Hastings Street) from April 20 to 22, where you’ll find over 180 Canadian artists, leatherworkers, soapmakers, and others selling a range of goods for the wardrobe, home, vanity, and beyond.

Among the participating “makies” will be Boreal Folk Apothecary, Far Sky Map Works, and Hollow Tree, who will be hawking a selection of botanical face-and-body products, cartographic prints, and West Coast–inspired candles, respectively.

Newcomers to the twice-a-year fete include RavenSong Soap, which produces essential-oil soaps influenced by the beauty of Haida Gwaii; Re:creation, creator of upcycled scarves, ponchos, and jewellery; and Crack Pots, a local biz known for its planters adorned with pun-tastic phrases like “Netflix & Dill”.

Foodies, meanwhile, can look to vendors like The Raw Guy, maker of BBQ, dill pickle, and other seasoned kale chips; Sriracha Revolver, which crafts hot sauces infused with beets, tequila, cilantro, and more; and Solasta Chocolate, producer of pretty artisan chocolates in inventive flavours like ginger lemongrass and matcha raspberry. As usual at Make It!, attendees can also expect an on-site beer garden, a lineup of food trucks parked outside, and a silent auction that will benefit the Union Gospel Mission. Admission is $6 at the door and free for children 12 years old and under.
