B.C.’s Big Splash Water Slide Park (4775 Nulelum Way, Tsawwassen) has announced that it will open for the 2018 season on June 4.

Formerly known as Splashdown Park, the facility features nine tube and body rides, including the Boomerango, a new attraction for 2018—and billed as the only one in Western Canada—that involves visitors being projected up a near-vertical 40-degree wall in a tube slide.

The seven-acre site also boasts a pool, hot tubs, and a kids’ area, plus private viewing decks and Vegas-style cabanas that were introduced last year as part of a park-wide refresh. Outside food is not allowed on the premises, though Big Splash offers meal options and catering packages via two onsite restaurants and a candy shop.

Big Splash Water Slide Park features nine rides, including the new Boomerango, which you may recognize from waterparks in Las Vegas and Dubai.

All-day passes start at $28; children three-years-old and under get in for free. For the month of June, Big Splash will also offer a discounted admission price of $19 during select times.

A free shuttle service to the park will be offered from downtown Vancouver, with pick-up taking place at the YWCA Health + Fitness Centre (535 Hornby Street).

From June 4 to 22, Big Splash Water Slide Park will open Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. From June 23 to September 3, it will open seven days a week (10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
