Two new games got gamers excited last week, and Sony has got some deals on games and hardware with Days of Play. But first, a new Xbox controller has been designed to make it easier for people with disabilities to enjoy gaming.

Xbox Adaptive Controller created for gamers with limited mobility

In an effort to make it easier for everyone to play video games, Xbox has created the Xbox Adaptive Controller. The wireless game controller lies flat and has a directional pad and two large buttons that can be programmed to become a standard-controller input.

The Xbox Adaptive Controller also supports a number of other peripherals and inputs, like a one-handed joystick from PDP and a mouth-controlled joystick from QuadStick equipped with multiple sip-and-puff sensors.

Because not everyone can hold a standard game controller, let alone reach all the triggers and buttons.

Exclusive PS4, discounts on PS VR and games from June 8 to 18

Sony’s Days of Play returns with deals on PlayStation hardware and games.

Key among them is an exclusive new PS4 system in blue with gold highlights. It’s a limited-edition console with a 1 TB hard drive selling for $380.

PlayStation Virtual Reality bundles start at $250 (and require a PS4 to use), and DualShock 4 controllers are sale priced at $50. A year’s membership in PlayStation Plus is $60.

Even better are the discounts on some of the best games you can play.

These deals are available from June 8 to 18.

More games revealed in advance of E3 2018

Three new games were revealed last week, and they got gamers in a tizzy. Bethesda Softworks had a livestream of its studio for 24 hours in which almost nothing happened but thousands of people actually tuned in and waited for the reveal of a new game.

Warner Bros. Interactive celebrates villains with Lego DC Super-Villains, which will have players creating their own character to star in the game. The Joker, Lex Luthor, and other villains from the DC comics universe will feature in the game.

There is precious little known about the other two games, save their titles.

The next Assassin’s Creed game, Odyssey, is set in Greece, and Bethesda’s new post-apocalyptic survival shooter is Fallout 76.
