Music producer David Foster is going to marry a woman half his age.

The Victoria-born pal of everyone from Celine Dion to Andrea Bocelli is 68.

His fiancée is 34-year-old singer-songwriter and actor Katharine McPhee, which has the entertainment media in a tizzy.

McPhee burst into the spotlight in 2006 as a contestant on American Idol.

In that season, Foster and Bocelli served as her guest mentors, which helped her place second behind the eventual winner, Taylor Hicks.

McPhee divorced her husband Nick Cokas in 2014.
