Sasamat Lake is a popular summer recreational spot for residents of the Tri-Cities.

But White Pine Beach was closed over the weekend after a black bear was spotted rummaging through people's belongings looking for food.

Metro Vancouver has asked that anyone wanting to go there should check its website for further updates.
