A festival this weekend will counter Vancouver's infamy as No Fun City, but as a result, traffic will be affected.

The annual Fun City Festival will take place this weekend in North Vancouver, running from Saturday to Sunday (July 21 to 22).

Consequently, RCMP released an announcement and a map (shown below) to remind drivers about road closures and to plan for alternate routes.

The event's main attraction will be Slide the City's 1,000-foot water slide that will be installed on Lonsdale Avenue from 8^th Street to 5^th Street.

Traffic on side streets will not be able to cross Lonsdale Avenue.
