In case you don’t see enough of them racing through the streets of downtown Vancouver or parked on UBC’s Vancouver campus, a bevy of luxury and exotic cars are rolling into town for the ninth annual Luxury & Supercar Weekend this summer.
Taking place on September 8 and 9, the event will bring more than $250 million worth of rare and top-of-the-line automobiles to VanDusen Botanical Garden. The curated lineup of vehicles includes those from makes like Lamborghini, Maserati, Aston Martin, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg.
A collector-car-tribute display will feature the 70th-anniversary edition of the Defender Land Rover, the Dino Ferrari, the very first Porsche ever made, and what’s being billed as “the world’s finest collection of Vipers”.
The alfresco affair will also host Canadian launches of the Pagani Huayra BC, the Rolls Royce Cullinan, the 2019 BMW M850i Coupe, and the Singer Porsche Williams DLS. Together, these four automobiles are worth over $7 million.
Luxury & Supercar Weekend’s Saturday will feature a $10-million live auction, while Sunday will welcome a performance from the winner of the Steinway Piano Competition and Steinway Young Artist Club. High-fashion runway shows presented by Oakridge Centre—and spotlighting retailers like Hugo Boss, Blubird, and Stuart Weitzman—will take place on both dates.
During the event, VanDusen will also play host to pop-up bars and food vendors, while guests will be able to browse an onsite collection of fine watches, luxury pianos, and other goods. Tickets are $125 online.
