      Final day of the Westward Music Festival features performances by headliners We Are the City (above), Saba, Fatima Al Qadiri, Roni Size, Sophie, and Andy Shauf at various Vancouver venues.

      American gospel and soul singer, songwriter, and record producer Leon Bridges plays the PNE Amphitheatre, with guests Khruangbin.

      Christian rock band NEEDTOBREATHE plays Abbotsford Centre, with guests Johnnyswim and Forest Black.

      The Rogue Folk Club presents singer-songwriters Craig Cardiff & Raine Hamilton at the St. James Hall.

      The Accordion Noir Fest XI Wrap Party at the WISE Hall features Wendy McNeill & friends.

      Guitarist, composer, arranger, and producer Chance Hayden performs a pay-what-you-can gig at Guilt & Co.

      Canuck Place Adventure Race features at 15-km mountain bike and six-km trail run at Jericho Beach Park East, with proceeds to Canuck Place, which supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families all across B.C.

      The VOKRA Walk for the Kitties is five-km fun walk at Jericho Beach, with all proceeds going directly to the Vancouver Orphaned Kitten Rescue Association.

      Community Fundraising BBQ at Pacific Spirit United Church (formerly Dunbar Ryerson United Church) includes lunch, games, and live music.

      The annual Terry Fox Run takes place at various Metro Vancouver locations, with proceeds to support cancer research.

      The family-oriented Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival takes place at Concord Pacific Place.

      The Georgia Straight presents day two of the Grassroots Expo for the Cannabis Curious at SFU Harbour Centre, moderated by Straight cannabis editor Piper Courtenay (above) and featuring some of Canada’s leading cannabis producers, distributors, dispensaries, and brands.

      Indian journalist Niranjan Takle speaks at a SANSAD Forum with Dionne Bunsha and Peter Klein at Surrey City Centre Library.

      Final day of this year's Playland at the PNE, featuring over 30 rides, including the Revelation, the Hellevator, the Beast, Hells Gate, the Flume, and the 60-year-old wooden rollercoaster.

      Douglas Coupland’s new radical art installation at the Vancouver Aquarium, Vortex, takes an imaginative journey to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, immersing viewers in the ocean-plastic pollution crisis.

      Body Language: Reawakening Cultural Tattooing of the Northwest at the Bill Reid Gallery sees guest curator Dion Kaszas of the Nlaka’pamux First Nation trace the deep-rooted traditions of Indigenous tattooing, piercing and personal adornment.

      Cabin Fever at the Vancouver Art Gallery traces the history of the North American cabin as an architectural form and cultural construct.

      Andi Icaza-Largaespada's new speculative photographic panorama, (untitled) a mountain bought but not yet named, is presented across the Contemporary Art Gallery's Nelson Street façade.

      Shigeru Ban, a new exhibition at Vancouver Art Gallery’s Offsite location, features the full-scale version of Japanese architect Shigeru Ban’s Kobe Paper Log House.

      Wild Things: The Power of Nature in Our Lives at the Museum of Vancouver delves into the life stories of local animals and plants—how they relate to each other and how they connect people to nature in the city.

      Richmond's Lipont Place hosts Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, which focuses on the legendary RMS Titanic's compelling human stories through more than 120 authentic artifacts and extensive room re-creations.

      Arts of Resistance: Politics and The Past In Latin America at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC exhibition illustrates how Latin American communities use traditional or historic art forms to express contemporary political realities.

      In a Different Light: Reflecting on Northwest Coast Art at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC features more than 110 historical indigenous artworks and explores what we can learn from these works and how they relate to indigenous peoples’ relationships to their lands.

      Haida Now: A Visual Feast of Innovation and Tradition at the Museum of Vancouver is guest-curated by Kwiaahwah Jones and features more than 450 works by carvers, weavers, photographers and print makers, collected as early as the 1890s.
