Crews were kept busy over the past 24 hours cleaning up debris from the parking lot and pedestrian areas at the bottom of Grouse Mountain.

This was necessary after torrential rains caused a mudslide.

      Fortunately, nobody was injured.

Grouse Mountain's trans and mountaintop facilities were closed at the time.

The resort is on a hiatus from November 1 until November 12 as it prepares for the winter season.

Anyone hiking the 2.9-kilometre Grouse Grind until November 12 must descend via the BCMC Trail on the eastern side of the mountain.
