North Vancouver's Lynn Headwaters Regional Park closed after damage from stormy weather

A North Vancouver regional park remains closed today after weather conditions caused damage and unsafe conditions.

On November 3, the Baden-Powell Trail at Grouse Mountain Regional Park was partially rerouted after heavy rainfall caused a mudslide while the lower Lynn Loop Trail in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park was closed also due to washouts.

Then on November 4, Lynn Headwaters Regional Park was closed due to storm damage from winds (up to 80 kilometres per hour) and high river levels, which created hazardous conditions. Debris flow blocked the entrance road to the park.

The park remains closed today (November 5) until further notice, due to loose rocks, unstable slopes, and other hazards.
