October’s Very Own, the clothing label founded by Canadian rapper Drake and his tour manager Oliver El-Khatib, is opening its first Western Canadian store in Vancouver.

Situated at 1044 Robson Street, the boutique will stock OVO’s range of unisex streetwear, which includes coats, T-shirts, and accessories like caps and toques (from $32). Founded in 2011, the brand is known for its collaborations with established names like Roots, Jordan Brand, and Canada Goose, as well as its distinctive owl logo—an image which currently decorates the windows of the incoming Vancouver shop.  

The OVO store will be situated in the space formerly occupied by Boys’ Co. on Robson Street. El-Khatib told Business of Fashion in October that the label has plans to open locations in Vancouver as well as Mississauga. “The investments in retail expansion are absolutely necessary for our long-term strategy, it’s a big focus for us right now,” he said.

At the moment, OVO operates five brick-and-mortar outposts, including two in Toronto and one in the U.K. The Georgia Straight has reached out to the brand for details on the soon-to-launch Vancouver store, including a projected opening date.
