When someone mentions Kitsilano, you may immediately think of bike lanes, beaches, and brunch spots—a triple threat, if you ask us.

But it’s also a well-loved district for local shopping, which makes it a great destination to search for the perfect holiday gifts.

Kitsmas, an annual shopping event that takes place along West 4th Avenue, returns to the neighbourhood from December 1 to 20, 2018. Presented by the West 4th Avenue Business Improvement Association, it’s a highly anticipated promotion that shoppers look forward to.

Keep an eye out for Santa's mailbox, among other festive things.

In previous years, the event has had valet parking, Santa’s mailbox, and plenty of mistletoe—we expect this year’s Kitsmas to be just as magical.

A special launch event takes place on Thursday (November 29), aptly named EAT. SIP. SHOP. Festivities range from giveaways to snacks, and alcohol beverages to store discounts. DJs will also be on-site to provide music while you scavenge for Christmas presents. Each store will also be giving out a Kitsmas tote bag with goodies inside.

Some of the participating shops include Beauty Bar, Coco’s Closet, Kit & Ace, Middle Sister, Ollie Quinn, Pure Barre, Shoes on 4th, Silk Road Tea, the Latest Scoops, and Two of Hearts, among others.
