The Vancouver Web Fest (VWF)—which showcases digital storytelling and web content creators and offers workshops, screenings, panel discussions, and more—will be temporarily suspended in 2019.

VWF executive director and founder Suzette Laqua announced in a video posted on social media on December 5 that she will be postponing the next festival due to personal health concerns.

Accordingly, the Vancouver Web Fest won't be held in 2019.

However, Laqua and VWF correspondent Susie Lee explained in the video that they hope to mount the next edition of the festival in 2020.

Even though the festival won't be held in 2019, Laqua and Lee said that they will still be active on social media, will be attending events, and will continue to support content creators.

The 2018 VWF, the fifth edition of the festival, was held from April 19 to 21 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
