Vancouver gets a respite from rain and snow

      You can say goodbye to the hashtag #bcstorm for a little while.

      And don't expect any alarming weather alerts for Metro Vancouver over the next three days.

      That's because the forecast calls for sunny skies through Thursday, with highs reaching 16° C today.

      Cooler temperatures and clear skies are expected overnight tonight and Wednesday, with cloudy periods not returning until Thursday evening.

      But on Friday and Saturday (March 22 and 23), there's a chance of showers, and rain is in the forecast on Friday night.

      But for now, it's a good time to pull out the sunglasses and get outside.

      And maybe play some volleyball. Or get on a bike. Or go for a hike...
