Sweet things are coming to one of the largest shopping destinations in Metro Vancouver.

Burnaby’s Metropolis at Metrotown (4700 Kingsway) will be showcasing Snack ‘N Snap, a food-themed exhibit filled with jumbo treat displays and snack samples that runs July 11 to 28.

Shoppers will be able to check out a giant pink doughnut, 10-foot lollipop tree, a cupcake house (probably Hansel and Gretel approved), eight-foot pretzel, and melting Popsicle displays. It will be the perfect photo opportunity for visitors to capture some delicious-looking photos.

Besides posing for pictures, guests will be able to sample some sweet and savoury bites (think candies, chocolates, and cotton candy) from retailers like Govida, Squish, Sugarfina, and Muji.

Other activities like workshops to make your own treats and a “Guess the jellybeans” contest will also take place.

We’re sure the kids will be amused, but we have a feeling that this summertime event will cater to sweettooths of all ages.
