Vancouver’s Victoria Anthony became an Internet sensation in 2018 after singing her heart out to her idol, superstar recording artist PINK, in front of 20,000 spectators at Rogers Arena. Since then, the YouTube video has amassed more than five million views and the talented 13-year-old has launched her own singing career.
She has collaborated with some of Canada’s most decorated producers to write and record her own music. Her first single, “Without You”, has already generated more than 371,000 streams on Spotify.
In March, she released her first official radio single, “Because I’m a Girl”, which was cowritten alongside the Toronto songwriting duo of Rob Wells and Shobha, collectively known as The Fourth Floor. The pair has worked with many of music’s hottest artists, including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Nelly Furtado.
Following the overwhelming success of “Because I’m a Girl”, Anthony continued the momentum by releasing a dance version of the song, which hit streaming platforms on July 12. With a beat that will resonate with your soul, the remix will undoubtedly make a splash this summer.
She recently returned from a radio and television promotion tour across Canada and was featured on national TV programs like Global Morning News, eTalk, and, most recently, ET Canada.
But for those who want to see Anthony perform in person, the starlet is coming to the Rio Theatre on Thursday (July 25). The fun show will feature original songs, exclusive unreleased tracks, and covers from renowned artists like Lady Gaga, the Bee Gees, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Coldplay.
Anthony will take the stage with 10 dancers and a full live band of awesome musicians, as well as a few surprise guests in what’s sure to be a fabulous show. Don’t miss your chance to see this rising star on the cusp of a truly extraordinary career as a songwriter, vocalist, and recording artist.
