Last June, the Heritage Vancouver Society released its top 10 watch list for 2019.

Topping the list was the old village in Mount Pleasant on Main Street between 6th and 12th avenues. New developments are putting the neighbourhood’s heritage features at risk. A two-hour walking tour led by researcher Christine Hagemoen will be held in the historic area on Sunday (August 18), starting at 10:30 a.m.

Tickets are $10 for Heritage Vancouver members and $15 for nonmembers. Meeting place is at the northeast corner of 13th Avenue and Quebec Street.
