Tomorrow, the famed Finnish design house Marimekko will launch its first streetwear collection through an exclusive partnership with gravitypope.

True to its name, the Marimekko Kioski line will be on sale in kiosks exclusively in the retailer's stores across Canada. The limited-edition collection features unisex T-shirts, hoodies, caps, scrunchies, key rings, sneakers, socks, and shoppers, all in Marimekko’s unmistakable patterns. And yes, that includes its most iconic print, the Unikko poppy designed in 1964 by artist Maija Isola.

Kioski marks a more youthful direction for a brand that made its name with bold prints as far back as 1951 in Helsinki.

Gravitypope sells in Vancouver at 2203-2205 West 4th Avenue, as well as at locations in Toronto, Calgary, and Edmonton. Marimekko Kioski is also taking place around the world, at places like Dover Street Market, Ginza Tokyo, and Marimekko Flaghip stores around the world.

Along with change purses, totes, and even scrunchies adorned with black and white poppies, there are black and grey tees and a black hoodie with a simplified version of the motif. For shoe lovers, there are way-cute Unikko slip-on sneakers--or "kangaskengas".
