Homeless in Vancouver: Samples of our hot and cold running autumn

Welcome to Autumn 2019 in Vancouver.

We may not like how cold it is this year but we all love how hot it looks.

The handful of photos herein are all from Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood—mostly along Tupper Street, at the the eastern edge.

But trust me, they are illustrative of how it looks all over the city.

As for the temperature, two days ago on October 9 the morning saw a low of 1.4° C, reportedly the coldest such date in the city in 84 years. The very next day the temperature fell to -0.7° C, said to be the lowest October 10 in 122 years.

But no matter. Vancouverites will happily add another layer or two of clothing against the unseasonable blast of cold air, so long as we get our seasonal blast of colour.
