One male hospitalized after serious collision between SUV and motorcycle in Burnaby

      A collision between an SUV and motorcycle left one man with serious injuries.

      Around 5:45 p.m. on October 14, a grey Toyota Highlander SUV and a white BMW motorcycle collided at the intersection of Hastings Street and Ingleton Avenue in Burnaby.

      The SUV was apparently heading eastbound on Hastings Street and was attempting to turn left onto Ingleton Avenue when it struck a motorcycle that was traveling westbound on Hastings.

      The 51-year-old male motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized in stable condition.

      Meanwhile, the 55-year-old male SUV driver and his passenger remained on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.

      No charges have been laid yet.

      Anyone who was in the area between 5:30 and 6 p.m. and who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP.
