Unfortunately, yet another collision has taken place in Surrey—the third over the past three days—with another pedestrian fatality.

Around 2:15 p.m. today (December 16), Surrey RCMP responded to a report about a female pedestrian struck by a vehicle at 192nd Street and 80th Avenue in the Cloverdale area.

Although B.C. Ambulance Services and Surrey Fire Services attended, all efforts to revive the woman remained unsuccessful and she died of her injuries. Her identity has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Surrey RCMP has shut down the following intersections while collecting evidence:

      • 192nd Street at 82A Avenue
      • 192nd Street at 78th Avenue
      • 196th Street at 80th Avenue
      • 188th Street at 80th Avenue

Police are asking drivers to avoid this area during today’s rush hour.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.

Earlier today, a vehicle struck a female pedestrian in Cloverdale at 188th Street and 56B Avenue in Surrey. The pedestrian was hospitalized in serious condition.

Prior to that on December 14, a man died after being struck by a vehicle in the 7100 block of Scott Road.
