Male pedestrian, 55, dies after hit by vehicle in South Surrey on January 22

      While a fatal collision occurred in Yaletown in Vancouver on January 19, another pedestrian fatality was reported in South Surrey this morning.

      Around 7:08 a.m. today (January 22), Surrey RCMP responded to a report about a collision between a vehicle and a 55-year-old male pedestrian in the 2400 block of 188th Street.

      Despite attempts by Emergency Health Services to revive him, the pedestrian died of his injuries.

      The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

      As the incident remains under investigation, the public is advised to avoid the area at this time.
