On the eve of its 10th anniversary, good news has rolled in for the Fairmont Pacific Rim (1038 Canada Place).

The U.S. News & World Report has named the luxury property the number one hotel in Canada in its annual “Best Hotels Ranking” list for 2020.

Rosewood Hotel Georgia comes in second, and Tofino’s Wickaninnish Inn placed third.

“We are honoured to be recognized as the #1 Hotel in Canada by U.S News & World Report,” Jens Moesker, regional vice president Pacific Northwest, and general manager of Fairmont Pacific Rim, said in a press statement. “This achievement could have only been made possible through the passion and dedication our team displays each and every day in pursuit of creating extraordinary experiences for our guests.”

Affectionately dubbed the Fairmont Pac Rim by city-dwellers, the five-star hotel is home to several dining spots such as the award-winning Botanist Restaurant, the Lobby Lounge and RawBar, and giovane café + eatery; the Willow Stream Spa, and other amenities.

The 10th annual Best Hotels Ranking evaluates more than 30,000 luxury properties across the U.S., Europe, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean.

It uses a methodology that considers the hotel’s star rating, and expert and guest feedback through TripAdvisor user scores and awards from travel publications.
