Popular household brand, Dyson, has just opened a brick-and-mortar location inside Pacific Centre.

It’s the U.K.-based company’s second demo store in Canada, and the 155^th one in the world.

Consumers will be able to check out Dyson’s bestselling products, including cord-free vacuums, fans, and air purifiers like the Dyson Pure Hot and Cool.

Beauty gadgets like the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and Dyson Airwrap styler can also be tried and tested, as well as the newly launched Dyson Lightcycle Morph: an intelligent light that can replicate natural local daylight and has versatile movement.

“We’re very excited because all the people in Vancouver will be able to actually get hands-on with our latest and greatest technology all in one place, and really see the breadth and depth of the engineering that we put so much real focus and effort into,” Andrew Robinson, president of Dyson Canada, told the Straight in an interview at the new demo store. “We’re proud of it and we want to share it with the people of Vancouver.”

Shoppers can interact with every product, including selecting various types of debris from the debris wall, throwing it onto the carpet, and using one of the Dyson vacuums on display to clean up the mess.

Another highlight is a salon at the back of the store, where visitors can pre-book free hairstyling appointments to learn about Dyson’s fan-favourite hair products.

Customization is also offered, such as complimentary embossing of initials on both the Dyson hair tools’ presentation case.

“It’s an opportunity to come and play with and try our products,” Nichola Clifton, senior design engineer at Dyson, told the Straight. “We have lots of different things to offer, and I think it’s really interactive and a great way to experience our technology.”
