A three-vehicle collision on Sunday night in Surrey has resulted in one driver being hospitalized for life-threatening injuries.

Surrey RCMP stated that around 7 p.m. on February 16, officers responded to a report about three vehicles colliding in the 2300 block of 140th Street.

A grey GMC pickup truck was heading south on 140th Street when it collided with a white Dodge Caravan (with five occupants) and a small privately-owned bus (with three occupants).

The male driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The occupants of the other vehicles were either uninjured or only had minor injuries, and none of them needed to be taken to hospital.

Impairment and speed have not been ruled out as contributing factors to the collision.

Anyone with more information about the collision, including dashcam footage, is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502. To make an anonymous report, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

That same weekend, a vehicle struck a pedestrian on February 14 in the 18300 block of Highway 10 in Surrey. Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
