Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle on Highway 17 in Surrey

      A collision on a Surrey highway has resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

      Surrey RCMP stated on February 26 that around 6 p.m. on February 26, police received a call about a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in the 10200 block of Highway 17 in Surrey.

      The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Details about the pedestrian’s identity have not been released.

      Highway 17 was closed to traffic between Nordel Way and Tannery Road during the investigation.

      The incident remains under investigation and the vehicle driver is cooperating with police.

      A collision on February 14 on Highway 10 in Surrey also resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
